WHAT ARE ILS SMART LOCKERS?

A Smarter Locker System - Built for Libraries

ILS Smart Lockers are purpose-built library lockers designed for holds pickup, returns, and Libraries of Things.

Unlike many locker systems adapted from retail or warehousing, our lockers are built from the ground up to support library workflows, circulation rules, and patron convenience - without adding work for staff.

They can operate:

  • As a standalone locker system, or
  • In tandem with AutoLend and MediaLend as part of a configurable outreach ecosystem

WHAT MAKES ILS LOCKERS DIFFERENT

Modular by Design - Not Locked In

ILS Smart Lockers are built to grow with you.

  • Mix and match locker door sizes
  • Combine lockers into custom tower configurations
  • One control tower can operate up to 60 lockers
  • Add additional locker towers at any time

No rip-and-replace. No starting over.

RFID, Barcode - or Both

ILS Smart Lockers support:

  • Barcode-only workflows
  • RFID-only workflows
  • Barcode + RFID together (optional)

Many competitors force libraries to choose one or the other.
ILS gives libraries flexibility - now and in the future.
